At the heart of Firetrace’s solution is its detection tubing that is deployed throughout the areas to be protected. The tubing has precise temperature sensitivity and will quickly sense and cause a reaction when heat from a fire is present. This advanced detection mechanism can be deployed in a server room, electrical cabinet, or machinery compartment to immediately release a fire suppression when heat is detected.
Automatic Suppression
Upon a fire hazard detection the Firetrace tubing bursts and the Fire Suppressant Agent (FSA) is deployed directly through the tubing, or alternatively, the change in the tubing pressure triggers the attached canister to deploy the FSA through an alternate system of fixed conduits and nozzles.
Safe for Equipment
What sets Firetrace apart is its localized approach to fire suppression. Instead of flooding entire spaces with suppressants, this system delivers precise and targeted extinguishment directly at the source of the fire effectively smothering the flames before they can escalate.
The FSAs used are non-water-based agents like Firetrace’s own FK-5-1-12 which replaces 3M’s Novec 1230, or Standard ABC fire suppressant.
