Will a Core Vacuum Product Work?
DuroVac’s core lineup of vacuum systems is engineered to address the vast majority of our customers’ applications, but some situations call for a custom solution. AST Canada provides a free initial consultation to see if it’s feasible for your application.
AST Canada provides vacuum and conveying system design, complete conduit configuration and installation, along with any ancillary equipment & accessories for a complete installation and setup in your facility.
Reasons a Custom Vacuum System is Required
Material
If your material is highly combustible, carcinogenic or otherwise hazardous — we can design custom filtration systems and extra safety features to meet your needs.
Environment
System
If you use a unique system of conveyance or processing equipment that won’t integrate nicely with regular solutions — we can build a vacuum system that will fit into your process environment without causing disruptions.
Phases of the Design & Build Process
Evaluate Feasibility
When the time comes to issue a purchase order (PO), we identify key operating parameters, system calculations and selections. We support the PO with a General Arrangement drawing for approval.
Collaboration
Your team collaborates with a dedicated project manager, which allows us to align our deliverables with your specifications. At times, due to budget or time constraints, some companies opt to skip this step and move straight to Detailed Engineering.
Detailed Engineering
This is where our engineers at AST Engineering get started on your custom solution in earnest. It’s a complete design-build phase that includes a detailed engineering step. Designs can be rendered in SolidWorks.
