Central Industrial Vacuum Systems
Central Vacuum Systems
Top Performance Throughout Your Facility
When it comes to moving materials through a fixed network, central vacuum systems are at the top of their class. Central vacs cover long stretches of your facility, supporting multiple operators while maintaining strong performance. They’re also highly configurable, so you always get the solution you need.
Design, Supply & Installation of Central Vacuum Systems
AST Canada provides vacuum and conveying system design, complete conduit configuration and installation, along with any ancillary equipment & accessories for a complete installation and setup in your facility.
Integration
Central vacuums are fully integrated into your production process with fixed piping. Material goes straight from the shop floor to your disposal system.
Productivity
Hook up your central industrial vacuum for multiple operators and watch those dirt piles disappear before your eyes.
Compliance
As fixed units with a whole gamut of explosion control features, central vacs work well in facilities with combustible dust concerns.
Central Vacuum System Configurations
Multi-Operator Central Vacuums
Multi-operator vacuums provide consistent performance even as the number of operators increase. Protect your plant’s production process with continuous suction through a configured piping network, where and when you need it
Filtration systems are designed to never clog with material. This provides a practical cleaning solution throughout your plant, keeping downtime and repair costs at a minimum.
- Intended to have many operators working at once.
- Modular components provide design flexibility for reduced installation costs.
- The size of hose used is normally less than 2.5” ID and less than 50 feet long.
Vacuum Conveying Systems
With heavy-duty positive displacement vacuum pumps, you’ll move a high tonnage of material for easy disposal. Save on vac truck rentals with material-loading central units for vacuum conveying systems.
Vacuum conveying systems offer heavy-duty, continuous suction through positive displacement vacuum pumps, which pull harder as the job gets tougher. Choose from 15 hp to 500 hp.
- Intended for single operator use.
- Can combine with new or existing pneumatic conveying networks.
- Normally support tools greater than 2.5” to handle larger clean-ups.
Small Stationary Central Vacuums
As a budget-friendly vacuum option, small stationary central vacs come with an all-in-one design for fast installation. Get great performance for less with this smaller fixed system.
To save on the engineering, mobilization and infrastructural costs of assembling and commissioning a conventional central vacuum system, use these steps to convert our Portable vacuums into Central vacs.
3 Steps for Converting a Portable to Central Vacuum System
STEP 1: Choose Your Portable to Convert
Using a Lifetime or DV Series offers fast installation, hassle-free commissioning and minimal capital investment cost. These systems come standard with a waste disposal system.
- Combine with primary separators and vacuum hoppers to increase waste storage
- Intended for up to 5 simultaneous users/operators
- Pre-built packages reduce overall engineering costs drastically
- Vac producer-dependent, tools range up to 2.0’’ ID to handle light-to-moderate clean-ups
Using a PowerLift or an Elevator offers a powerful alternative. These systems come standard with built-in hopper or Supersac waste disposal.
- System can be fully configured to be NFPA compliant with explosion venting, inlet isolation, etc.
- Intended for up to 8 simultaneous users/operators
- Pre-built packages reduce overall engineering costs drastically
- Optional configurations for sound attenuation and power-alternatives
STEP 2: Connect to a Piping Network that Works
Our experts can help you connect your vac system to a piping network that never plugs. They will:
- Calculate, design and layout of a conduit system based on material characteristics, flowability and plant constraints
- Analyze your plant layout to identify key design recommendations
- Provide a budgetary quote for a piping network that will never plug!
STEP 3: Select Your Operator Accessories
That’s it – you are good to go.
