Dust Collection System Design for Agriculture
19 November 2024 Noon – 1:00 pm EDT
(UTC-04:00) Eastern Time (US & Canada)
Agenda
As the grain industry continues to update and modernize facilities, the trend is to decrease costs, increase throughput, incorporate new technologies, eliminate waste streams, improve energy efficiency and effectively manage dust emissions to meet tighter standards.
This webinar will review some common agriculture processes where dust collection is usually needed. Then we will get into the four primary components of a system design – hoods, ducts, collectors, and fans. And we will finish up with a Q&A session. The goal of this session is to give you an overview of the basics for a dust collection system design for agriculture.
Wood dust is highly abrasive to equipment and filtration media, requiring unique system design to help avoid the heavy costs of loss production, added maintenance and more frequent filter change-outs.
